Throughout my childhood, I dabbled in various sports but didn’t consider myself a serious athlete or a particularly competitive person. I started going on jogs around my college campus to stay active which snowballed into doing some local road and mountain races for fun when I came back to Alaska to finish my undergrad degree. Around that time, I started working at Skinny Raven Sports and became involved with the local running community, which really is where my passion for running was fostered. I started exploring trails on my own, entered more races for fun, and noticed I was getting a little better every year. The turning point for me was when I decided in 2018 I wanted to run Mount Marathon — I didn’t have an entry so I auctioned into the race the night before. The next day, I smiled and high-fived my way up and down that mountain and was forever hooked on the sport.

Since then, I’ve continued to progress and become more competitive at trail and mountain races ranging from Mount Marathon to the World Trail and Mountain Running Championships. I signed my first professional contract with The North Face in 2024, which feels like a huge milestone but also like just the beginning of what I hope to be many years of doing what I love ahead. Looking back to just a few years ago, I never would have thought, let alone dreamed, I’d be where I am. I promise you — you are capable of more than you think!

My coaching journey began in 2020 when I started as a coach for Raven Run Club with Skinny Raven, where I led in-person training groups and created individualized training plans. I received my Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) coaching certification in 2022 and officially launched Chugach Coaching Co on my own in April 2023. Since then I’ve helped athletes of all experience levels find consistency in their training and achieve big goals on the trails, roads, and in the mountains. Coaching has quickly become a passion for me that I plan to continue and grow for as long as I possibly can! Let’s chase some big goals together!
